…I met his gaze, then Maya's. A silent understanding passed between us. "Then," I said, a grin finally breaking through the worry, "we figure out how to get our game back. This is our playground, and our summer. They can't just take it from us." The game room felt strangely silent, the absence of Carroms a gaping hole. But in its place, a new mission had formed. The Great Summer Playground Escape had just taken a detour, straight into the heart of a mystery. And I, Leo, along with my best friends Maya and Sam, were ready to solve it. The Willow Creek Warriors might have taken our game, but they didn't know what they were up against. This was just the beginning.
