…As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of fiery orange and bruised violet, the Sea Serpent loomed larger. The air crackled with anticipation, the calm before the storm, or perhaps, the calm before the final confrontation. Elias Thorne, the ambitious merchant sailor, felt the weight of his choices pressing down on him. He had chased adventure, and now it had found him, roaring and menacing, on the open sea. The gilded horizon he had dreamed of was now a battleground, and the true test of his desires was about to begin.
