…Jack smiled, a warmth spreading through him. “I promise. As long as you’re there to remind me.” She leaned in and kissed his cheek, then disappeared inside. Jack stood there for a moment, the weight of the day settling on his shoulders. He thought about Einstein, about Vasquez’s unfinished theory, about the long road ahead. But he also thought about Sarah, about Leo, about Professor Thorne. He was not alone. And with that thought, the burden of his genius felt a little lighter. He walked home under the stars, his mind already turning back to the equations, searching for the next thread to pull. The pursuit of Einstein’s shadow had begun, and Jack was ready to run.
