The Genesis of the Algorithm

…I had chosen preservation, a silent guardianship, a hope that one day, perhaps, humanity would be ready. Until then, I would be the keeper of its slumber, the silent sentinel of a power I had chosen to withhold. The weight of that secret, like the long shadow of the algorithm itself, would be my constant companion. And as I walked away from the humming heart of the machines, I knew my quiet retirement had just taken a very unexpected, and very permanent, turn. The Genesis of the Algorithm was complete, but its echoes would resonate within me, and perhaps, within the world, for a very long time to come.
