…As Zorp, with the brass contraption now hovering precariously between his hands, began to hum a complex, multi-tonal melody that Barnaby suspected was some form of alien diagnostic chant, Barnaby turned his attention back to the teacups. They had, miraculously, settled back into their drying rack, looking as innocent as if they’d never performed a single aerial maneuver. For now, at least, the dancing teacups seemed to be a problem of the past. But Barnaby had a nagging feeling that Zorp’s brand of “assistance” was only just beginning. And he was starting to suspect that his quiet, peaceful existence was about to get a whole lot more… energetic.
