…He looked around the grove, now bathed in a soft, ethereal glow. The King’s evil reign was over, the artifact purified, and the Whispering Woods was beginning to heal. He had faced his own doubts, his own hidden fears, and emerged victorious. The battle had been fierce, brutal, and deeply personal, but he had not faltered. He had proven that even in the face of overwhelming darkness, the light of courage and hope could prevail. The forest was safe, and he, Branden, warrior of renown, had played his part.
