We will explore… diplomacy.” The word felt strange on his tongue, a foreign concept in the harsh reality of his world. But as he looked at the fire, at the flickering shadows that no longer seemed so menacing, he knew it was the only path forward. The ghosts of the past had shown him the cost of his mistakes. Now, it was time to write a new chapter, one where survival and respect walked hand in hand. The future of Fort Stuart, and perhaps even of Malad Valley itself, depended on it.
