…It was a world I no longer belonged to, a world that, for me, had just been irrevocably shattered. The adventure had begun, not with a bang, but with a chilling whisper in the dark, and a desperate promise of safety in the unknown. The figure in the dark had shown me a glimpse of a reality I never knew existed, and now, I was inextricably bound to it, a reluctant participant in a war I didn't understand, with a boy who held the key to my survival, and perhaps, to my very identity. The road ahead was shrouded in mystery, and for the first time, I felt the true, terrifying thrill of the unknown.
