…"How do you feel?" the white-cloaked figure asked. KJ flexed his fingers. They stretched farther than before, and the golden light followed, creating trails in the air. "Different," he said. "Powerful." The figure smiled. "Good. Because the Order will feel that. They'll know a new force has awakened." They turned, looking toward the clock tower. "And they'll come for you." KJ stood taller. "Let them come." The white-cloaked figure nodded. "That's the spirit. But first, we need to move. There's a safe place I know, where we can train." KJ followed, his new power thrumming beneath his skin. He didn't know what lay ahead, but for the first time, he felt ready for it.
