…He was wearing a worn denim jacket and a dark t-shirt, looking exactly as she’d pictured him: relaxed, a little rumpled, entirely at ease. Her notebook lay open on the table beside a half-empty coffee cup, and he was sketching in it. Her breath caught in her throat. He was sketching in her notebook. A strange mix of indignation and amusement bubbled within her. She took a deep breath and walked towards him, a small smile playing on her lips. This was it. The exchange of ink, yes, but perhaps, also, the beginning of something else entirely.
