…Agnes, Mark, my father, all the nameless victims of October – they were no longer just names on a list or ghosts in my memory. They were a call to action. The list was still active, yes, but it was also a desperate attempt to maintain control. And I was no longer just trying to understand the past. I was in the thick of its deadly present, and the people who had orchestrated these disappearances were now aware of me. Their awareness was a threat, but it was also an invitation. An invitation to a reckoning. The time for whispers and shadows was over. It was time to find out what that key opened, and to expose the truth, no matter the cost.
