…But alongside that weight, a new feeling began to take root: hope. Hope for a future where they would learn from their mistakes, where their boundless creativity would be channeled into building, not destroying. Hope for a time when the symphony of existence would once again be filled with the harmonious melodies of life, and not the discordant roar of war. The Great War had taught me the limits of my power, but it had also revealed the enduring strength of the human spirit, a spirit I would continue to watch over, with a love tempered by sorrow, and a hope that burned brighter than ever before.
