…“Will it come back?” he asked his mother. “Perhaps,” she replied. “And if it does, we’ll be here to see it.” I stood up, a sense of profound contentment settling over me. The world felt a little more magical, a little more full of possibilities. Knowing that creatures like Kelly existed, and that we could learn to understand and appreciate them, made all the difference. My adventure had led me to a new creature, yes, but more importantly, it had led me to a deeper appreciation for the wonder that surrounds us, and the quiet courage it takes to truly see it. The screen hurt was just a veil, and beyond it lay a world waiting to be discovered, one curious step at a time.
