…I knew then that my adventure had just begun. I would learn more about Kelly, about its beautiful, perplexing nature. I would find a way to observe it, to understand it, without succumbing to its defenses. And when I did, I would tell the world. I would show them that Kelly wasn't a monster to be feared, but a wonder to be cherished. As I watched the last glimmer of pink disappear into the deepening twilight, I couldn't help but smile. The woods felt less menacing now, filled with the promise of discovery. I had faced a hint of the 'screen hurt' and I was still standing. My quest to understand Kelly had just taken its first, magical step.
