…"They're together now," she whispered. "Finally at peace." But as she spoke, a faint tremor ran through the manor, and a deep, rumbling sound echoed from below. The floor beneath them cracked, and a cold wind swept through the room. Mallory's heart froze. The ghost's warning echoed in her mind: "The darkness never truly dies. It only waits." She looked at Desmond, her eyes wide. "There's something else. Something older." From the depths of the manor, a voice, ancient and malevolent, whispered through the shadows. "You have freed the children, but you have also awakened me." Mallory clutched the locket, her blood running cold. The battle was not over. It had only just begun.
