…And then, with a horrifying realization, Kenneth understood. The snake was pregnant. As it moved, its massive jaws opened, and a torrent of offspring, small yet venomous, poured forth. They swarmed over the ground, their tiny bodies multiplying with terrifying speed, their sole purpose to devour and destroy. Kenneth’s breath hitched; he was trapped between a relentless predator and a plague of its monstrous progeny, the darkness closing in, the stench of hell clinging to him like a shroud. He ran, not knowing where to go, only knowing that he had to escape the consuming maw of this terrifying, multiplying evil.
