…I closed my eyes, trying to block out the modern world, to immerse myself in the primal whispers of the past. Poenari Castle, I was beginning to understand, was not merely a historical relic. It was a testament to a primal human need to connect with something greater, something that required a profound and terrifying price. The foundations of fear were not laid by the sword, but by the earth itself, awakened and appeased by rituals lost to time. And this was only the beginning. The stones of Poenari held deeper secrets, secrets that were yet to be unearthed, secrets that would soon draw me into their shadowed embrace.
