Then Layia ran forward and threw her arms around Ed's neck. She didn't say anything. She just held him. And Ed held her back, the pendant lying on the floor between them, glowing faintly in the firelight. Outside, in the darkness, Angel Solis smiled. "Now you remember," she whispered. "Now the real journey begins."
