…I stood there for a long moment, the scent of ozone and blood still sharp in the air, the image of Ori’s silver eyes burned into my mind. The darkness was growing, that much was clear. And the threads of this mystery were indeed unraveling, but they were leading me down a path I had never anticipated, a path that wound through ancient prophecies, forgotten legends, and the enigmatic heart of a woman who had stolen into my territory, and perhaps, into my soul. The Blue Moon Pack was in danger, and I had a chilling premonition that the greatest threat, and perhaps the only salvation, lay with the very stranger who had brought the shadows to our doorstep.
