…And from the blackest recess, a form erupted. It was a blur of motion, a nightmare made manifest, a thing of sharp angles and impossible limbs. Arthur’s breath hitched, his eyes widening in a silent scream. He saw a flash of movement, a glint of something sharp, and then… nothing. The buzzing ceased. The yellow walls seemed to recede, fading into an impenetrable darkness. Arthur’s brief, desperate bid for freedom had ended not with the sweet relief of escape, but with a brutal, abrupt silence, swallowed by the insatiable hunger of the thing that dwelled in the endless yellow.
