Where do we go?” Eldrin’s starlit eyes softened with a mixture of relief and pride. He nodded, his silver beard catching the last of the sun’s rays. “To the Whispering Ruins, Elara. And may the ages themselves guide our steps.” He turned, his gaze sweeping the horizon as if listening for a call only he could hear. “We must leave before the moon is high.”
