…She stood up, brushing the soft pink grass from her skirt. "I… I think I'll come home." She picked up her knitting basket. "But maybe," she added, a mischievous glint in her eye, "we could bring Barnaby with us? He might be good for cheering people up. And he does have excellent taste in scarves." Lin and Feng exchanged a look. A fluffy, bouncy, possibly sad-eyed creature as a new addition to their chaotic lives? It was certainly a possibility. But as they turned to leave the glade, a sense of relief washed over them, stronger than any anger. They had found Sheng. And they were all going home, together. The Whispering Woods, it seemed, had a few more surprises up its sleeve.
