…Lin let out a shaky laugh. “Gardening? She’s gardening?” Feng grinned, a true, unburdened grin. “Apparently so. Come on,” she said, taking Lin’s arm. “Let’s go find our friend. And then, I think we deserve a very large, very non-teacup-shaped piece of cake.” As they turned to leave the clearing, a faint, tinkling laugh echoed from within the depths of the Whispering Woods, a sound that was now, strangely, more comforting than it was concerning. They had faced their fears, their secrets, and their tempers, and they had emerged, perhaps a little more frazzled, but undeniably stronger, and ready for whatever absurd adventure awaited them next.
