The iris valves for the exhausts, a delicate ballet of metal petals, were poised to perform their intricate dance. It was a machine born of dreams, forged from impossible materials, and powered by a vision that defied the prevailing winds of automotive progress. But as Ben surveyed the scene, a quiet hum of unease settled in his gut. The future was being built, brick by carbon brick, but the foundations, he suspected, were still far from perfectly solid. The dream was magnificent, the reality, however, was proving to be a far more intricate and demanding construction.
