…We had survived the sea. We had found shelter. But the journey, I realised with a sinking heart, was far from over. The mystery of Agenda had merely been replaced by the mystery of England, a mystery that was far more complex, and perhaps, far more dangerous. The quiet of Agenda had been a shield, and we had willingly, foolishly, cast it aside. Now, we were exposed, standing on the shores of a land that held the echoes of a forgotten past, a past that might, in turn, unravel everything we thought we knew. The pizza-shaped fields of Agenda seemed a lifetime away, a dream of a blissful, unburdened ignorance that we could never return to. The weight of memory, it seemed, had found us.
