…Leo instinctively shielded his eyes, Whisker hissing and spitting beside him. When the light subsided, Hase was gone. And in his place, standing where he had been, was something monstrous. It was vast and terrifying, a creature of shadow and fire, its eyes burning with an infernal glow. It was the embodiment of hell, a being of pure malice. "God," Leo whispered, the name a guttural sound of pure dread. This was not a creature of the galaxy turtles' scale, but something far more ancient and terrible. This was a rival, a hidden, malevolent force that had been lurking in the shadows of his desperate journey. And it had just revealed itself.
