…When we finally broke apart, a shy smile played on Liam’s lips. “So,” he said, his voice a little husky. “Thai food?” I laughed, a genuine, unforced laugh this time. “Thai food sounds perfect.” As we headed out the door, hand-in-hand, I knew that navigating this new territory wouldn’t be easy. There would be more awkward moments, more near-disasters, and probably more pasta-related incidents. But for the first time, the thought of it didn’t fill me with dread. It filled me with a giddy, terrifying, and utterly exhilarating sense of anticipation. We were a real couple now, and the real adventure was just beginning.
