It comes out within a hundred paces of the Heartwood tree.” “Show us,” Gabriel said. Samael turned and walked toward a jagged rock formation at the base of the ridge. He pressed his hand against the stone, and a seam appeared—a narrow door opening into darkness. He looked back at Adam. “Follow me, and do not speak until we are inside. Sound carries in the tunnel, and the faction has ears everywhere.”
