…He pulled back, his heart pounding. “They’re waiting.” “They are,” Samael said. “But they do not know about this tunnel. And they do not know that you carry the pattern of the seven families.” Eve touched Adam’s arm. “Remember: light and shadow are one. In the null zone, you must become the turning—the balance between them. Do not fight the unraveling. Weave through it.” Adam nodded. He pressed his hand against the cracked stone and felt the seven strands in his mind, ready. “Then let’s go,” he said, and pushed the wall aside.
