…I looked back towards the distant glow of the resort, towards the room where Claudia slept, blissfully unaware of my nocturnal reconnaissance. The chemistry between us was undeniable, a powerful force that had drawn me in. But now, that same force was pushing me into a moral quagmire. Could I protect her, knowing the potential consequences? Or would my journalistic integrity demand that I expose her? The decision, I realized with a tremor of dread, was no longer mine alone to make. The tightrope I was walking had just become infinitely thinner, and the chasm below, infinitely deeper.
