I didn't know where I was going, only that I had to get away. Away from her. Away from the suffocating scent of lavender and lies. Away from the sweet, silent songbird who had turned out to be a predator. The truth was out, but it was a truth that had ripped my world apart, leaving me adrift in a sea of betrayal and a grief that was now tainted with a chilling, profound horror.
