…She smiled, a genuine, happy smile. “Ready.” Hand in hand, they stepped into the rainbow portal. The candy world dissolved around them, replaced by a soft, familiar darkness. They blinked, their eyes adjusting to the dim light of Drake’s bedroom. They were back. The sugary dream had faded, leaving only the lingering scent of sweetness and the memory of their adventure. Drake looked at Lilly, a wide grin spreading across his face. “We did it!” Lilly smiled back, her heart full. “We did.” She nudged him playfully. “And you know what?” Drake’s grin widened. “I have a feeling I know what’s coming next.” “I think,” Lilly said, her eyes sparkling, “we’ve earned ourselves some real candy.”
