…He grabbed his jacket, a shiver running down his spine that had nothing to do with the temperature. The night air felt charged, expectant. He stepped out of his apartment, not into the familiar anonymity of the street, but into a world that was now irrevocably aware of him, a world that would be shaped by the choices he continued to make. The path ahead was uncertain, fraught with unknown dangers, but for the first time, Jack Black felt a flicker of something akin to determination.
