But not yet.” He held her gaze, a silent promise in his eyes. “For now… just this.” And in the quiet intimacy of the apparatus bay, with the scent of smoke and sweat and the lingering heat of their shared passion, they stood together, a new dawn breaking for them both, a promise of tomorrow’s embers burning bright.
