…But David, alerted by an instinct born of God’s presence, dodged. The spear missed its mark, embedding itself in the wall. Twice David escaped such attempts, his life spared by divine intervention. Saul, his fear of David now a palpable thing, knew that the Lord was with him, and that his own kingdom, once so secure, was now shadowed by the rise of the shepherd boy. The anointing oil, though unseen by many, had already begun its work, setting David on a path that would lead him from the fields of Bethlehem to the throne of Israel, a journey marked by courage, faith, and the enduring power of the unseen hand of God.
