…Darren felt a searing pain in his arm as a shard of glass, hurled by an unseen force, grazed his skin. Asia screamed as a heavy tapestry ripped from the wall and whipped around her, threatening to suffocate her. Joseph, his face a mask of utter terror, stumbled backward, his eyes wide with the horror of what he had witnessed, the suppressed fear of his childhood now a screaming reality.
