…Max let out a shaky laugh. “I told you it would be an adventure, Leo!” He looked around the clearing, the giant’s swing still swaying gently. He had a feeling they wouldn’t be seeing that swing again anytime soon. “Come on,” Max said, his adventurous spirit already rekindled, though tinged with a newfound respect for the dangers lurking in the Whispering Woods. “Let’s get out of here. And then, we have one heck of a story to tell.” Together, hand in hand, they turned and hurried back the way they came, the shadows of the Whispering Woods seeming to recede as they moved towards the familiar warmth of the sun, their incredible adventure just beginning its telling.
