The architect’s shadow, he realized, wasn’t just a metaphor for their hidden presence; it was the very darkness that had enveloped his own life, a darkness he was now being forced to confront, to illuminate, and perhaps, to escape. The question remained: was he being led to the truth, or to his own destruction? The choice, he knew, was his to make, but the path was laid by hands he could not see, guided by a will he could not fathom. And he was running out of time.
