Santa's Sparkliest Helper

…Mom beamed. “It’s perfect, Lily. Absolutely perfect.” With trembling hands, but a heart full of renewed excitement, I carefully climbed the ladder Mom held steady. I reached for the very top of the tree, and with a final, proud push, I placed our mended, sparkly star. It sat there, shining, a beacon of Christmas spirit. Looking at it, I knew Santa would love it. He’d see the sparkle, yes, but he’d also see the effort, the love, and the fact that even when things break, they can be made beautiful again. My worry melted away, replaced by the warm, happy glow of a job well done. The tree, with its new, unique star, was ready. And so was I.
