…I stepped back, a huge smile spreading across my face. "Wow, Mom! It looks… it looks even better!" Mom hugged me again. "I told you it would be wonderful. You saved Christmas, Lily." I beamed. Maybe it wasn't the perfect star, but it was a star made with love and a little bit of sparkle. And as I looked at our beautifully decorated tree, I knew Santa would love it. He wouldn't care about a little broken star. He'd see the love, the effort, and the sparkle, and that was the most important thing of all. My Christmas Eve jitters were gone, replaced by a warm, happy glow.
