…He had found them. He, Russo the Chiweenie, had discovered a hidden treasure. He had navigated the perilous path with the grace of a mountain goat, and now he had unearthed secrets buried in the earth. He looked up at Amy Kathryn and Rex, his heart swelling with a quiet pride. He was a hero, a true mountain explorer, even if he was only a little bit Chiweenie. The sun continued its descent, casting long shadows as the little group stood together, a small treasure found, a perilous path conquered, all thanks to their tiny, extraordinary dog. The adventure, they knew, was far from over.
