…That night, as Russo slept soundly at the foot of their bed, his little paws twitching as if he were climbing imaginary peaks, Amy and Rex exchanged a look. They no longer felt the urge to correct his every quirky behavior. Instead, they embraced it. They had learned that sometimes, the greatest adventures, the truest heroism, came in the smallest, most unexpected packages, with the loudest barks and the most insatiable appetites for paper.
