Recording to me

…I saved the recording and looked out the window. The streetlights cast their familiar orange glow. My phone buzzed—a message from Laura. "Thank you for today. I feel like I've been given a second chance. Same time next week?" I smiled and typed my response: "I'd like that. Let's see where the program takes us." And for the first time in a long time, I was excited about the next input, the next exception, the next line of code. Because I knew now that the best programs are not the ones that run perfectly. They are the ones that adapt, refactor, and grow.
