…As they stood to leave, his phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number: "The Phoenix rises. New dawn. New threat. Watch the shadows." He showed it to Rossi. "Looks like our warning." "Or an invitation," she said, her jaw set. "We need to be ready." Jaxson nodded, a new fire kindling in his chest. The Prowler's work was far from over. But with Detective Rossi at his side, he was ready to face whatever came next. Together, they walked back into the city, the shadows of the past behind them, the light of a new day ahead.
