…Jaxson left the community center with a strange lightness in his chest. He had taken the first step out of the shadows. But as he walked home under the streetlights, he felt a chill run down his spine. He glanced up at a rooftop across the street. For a second, he thought he saw a silhouette, dark and still, watching him. Then it was gone. He quickened his pace, the weight of his secret pressing down like a second skin. He was the Prowler now. And the game had just begun.
