…He was alone. He stayed there for a long time, the dust settling around him. When he finally stood, his legs were weak, his body aching. He walked to the stairs, not looking back. The factory was still. The animatronics were gone. The nightmare was over. But as he stepped into the pale light of dawn, he knew he would never forget. The faces of Alfie and Danny, trapped in metal, would haunt him forever. And somewhere, in the silence of the factory, a single red light flickered, then went out.
