…"You're not so easy to get rid of," Alfie said, his voice muffled against Harry's shoulder. Bruce appeared in the doorway, his face unreadable. "The van's ready. Time to go." They walked out into the night, the factory looming behind them, silent and dark. The stars were out, scattered across the sky like a promise of something better. Alfie leaned on Danny, his steps slow but steady. As they climbed into the van, Alfie looked back at the factory one last time. It was over. The nightmare was over. And somehow, despite everything, they had survived. "Let's go home," Alfie said. Bruce started the engine, and they drove into the night, leaving the factory and its horrors behind.
