The fear that had gripped them earlier had receded, replaced by a quiet, steady resolve. They had faced the shadow, the antagonist, and with Coco’s courage and their own art, they had begun to understand and overcome it. “Yes, Coco,” Ren said, their voice warm and steady. “We did it. Together.” They looked at the sketchbook, at the vibrant life of Coco, and for the first time, Ren truly believed that their art, and their creations, were more than good enough. They were magical.
