Elder Maeve, her secret vision of the flood now seeming less like a harbinger of doom and more like a prophecy of cleansing, continued her meditations by the Whispering Falls, her spirit at peace, knowing that her people had faced their trial and, by embracing their true nature, had emerged stronger, more united, and more deeply rooted in the wisdom of their ancestors.
