…He stood up, the room suddenly feeling too small, too confining. The therapist watched him, her expression a mixture of compassion and professional detachment. He knew he would leave this room, and the quiet would follow him. It always did. He carried it within him, a constant reminder of the twin who had taken everything, and the sister who had tried to take even more. The scar was deep, invisible, but it was there, a permanent testament to the destructive power of a parasitic heart and a poisonous tongue.
